During an appointment, we use a binary feedback mechanism to determine what the body needs to be treated for. Heart rate, breathing, sweating, blood pressure, muscle strength, pupil size, etc.:
These are all binary feedback mechanisms that tell us what is going on inside the body. They are called binary feedback mechanisms because: Binary –it can tell us yes (stress) or no (no stress), Feedback– the information comes from your body, Mechanism – physical stress response.
The biofeedback mechanism we use here is called an occipital drop. It is done in the occipital area of the head, and it is a gentle technique. The occipital drop enables us to determine the body’s response to certain foods and substances. The goal of the treatment is to find what the body is currently seeing as an enemy and enable the body to recognize that same substance as a friend.
